It covers an immense area of 874.2 sq km. This amazing protected area is known for its tiger population. In addition to this, the rare species found in the park are Gaur, Chital, Sambhar, Antelope, Wild Boar, Wild Dogs, Malabar Squirrel, etc.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Bangalore - Bandipur National Park (220 km / 5 hrs)

park is located in the middle of the charming surroundings of the towering Western Ghat Mountains on the Mysore-Ooty highway in Karnataka state. Upon arrival in Bandipur, check in to the wildlife resort. In the evening, enjoy the calm serenity of the forest resort. Dinner and overnight stay at resort.

Day 2 Bandipur National Park

On this day, we will wake a little early and get ready for our first Jungle experience to spot the wildlife. We will board the safari vehicle to explore the Bandipur National Park. Bandipur is home to Leopard, Asiatic Wild Dogs, Stripped Hyenas, Jackals, Jungle Cats, Leopard Cats, Rusty Spotted Cats, Palm Civet, Small Indian Civets, Otters and four different species of Mongooses (the common stripe necked, brown and ruddy mongooses), Gaur, Sambar, Cheetal, Muntjac, Barking Deer, Mouse Deer, Four-Horn Antelope, Pangolin, Indian Porcupine, Fruit Bat, Spender Loris, Langur, Bonnet Macaque, Wild Pig, Black Saped Hare; and variety of reptiles such as Rock Python, Cobra, Marsh Crocodile, Monitor Lizard, Rat Snake, Wolf Snake, Common Krait, Runel's Viper Bamboo Pit Viper and Green Keel Back are also found here. Later, return to the resort for being fresh and enjoy the breakfast.

After lunch, we will again get ready for wildlife exploration & birding within the periphery of the national park. We will be on foot and will be doing a guided walk to explore its amazing wildlife. Later in the evening return to the resort. In the evening enjoy the activities offered by the resort. Dinner and overnight stay at resort.

Day 3 Bandipur – Mysore

After breakfast, leave for Mysore the ancient capital city of the Wodeyars. Today, Mysore is a vibrant city teeming with tourists and visitors. It is known by the entire world for its exotic sandalwood and rich silks. Its grand and imposing palaces, majestic temples, gardens are worth viewing and tell the story of long-gone era.

On reaching at Mysore, get transfer to the hotel. After being fresh, we will explore the city of Mysore visiting the Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills, Brindavan Gardens, Mysore Zoo, and the Art Gallery etc.

In the evening, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4 Mysore – Bangalore

After breakfast, leave for Bangalore, en-route visit the Tipu Fort at Srirangapatna, famous for the Tipu Sultan's former capital. There is an obelisk in the fort that marks the place where he fell - betrayed by his own men. The fort holds within it a mosque and the Ranganathaswamy Temple. Outside the fort is the Gumbaz, Tipu's tomb with splendid ebony doors inlaid with ivory.

After this, continue drive to Bangalore. Upon reaching, we will transfer to the airport / railway station for onward connection.
