Mahabaleshwar comes in Maharashtra's Satara District it is just 121 km from Pune and 280 km from Mumbai. It is the most popular Hill Station in India and the summer capital of the British Government. 1) Old Mahabaleshwar- It is also called kshetra Mahabaleshwar in the local Marathi language. this old Mahabaleshwar has three temples to visit they are panchganga temple, Mahabaleshwar Temple, and Krishna temple. Panchganganga temple it is believed that 5 rivers Krishna,venna, Savitri,koyanas, and Gayatri originate from Gurmukh located inside this temple. Mahabaleshwar Temple- This temple is of  God Shiva and his bed and Damru is found in this temple. Krishnabai Temple- it is a belief that the Krishna river jumped from this spot hence this is the spot from where the Krishna river originates. 2) Monkey Point- Natural Stone sculptured images resemble Gandhiji's three Monkeys hence this point is Called Monkey point. 3) Arthur Point-:it is named after Arthur mallet because his wife and daughter died in the Savitri river accident below this point. Mr. Arthur use to seat at this point and stare at the river in their memory

4) Venna lake- this lake was constructed by Maharaja Shri Appasaheb of Satara. This lake is surrounded by dense forest and tourists can enjoy a boat ride on the lake. 5) Kate's Point-This is the point from where a beautiful view of the Krishna river valley can be seen.

6) Wilson Point-This is the sunrise point of Mahabaleshwar, This is the highest point in Mahabaleshwar. 7) Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj built Pratapgad Fort-This fort in 1656, It is 20 km from Mahabaleshwar. 8) Lingmala waterfall- It is one of the most breathtaking views of the waterfall in Mahabaleshwar Hills. The waterfall is 5 km from Mahabaleshwar and surrounded by Forest from all sides.
