.          Precautions required to be taken to visit Alibaug and Murud Janjira Fort

To visit Alibaug Fort one can go by just walking there or there are horse Carts available that will take you there during the low tide. Alibaug fort is very close to the main Alibaug beach but the utmost precaution is required to take that you should only visit during the low tide period and return back before the high tide starts otherwise you may get stuck up there for 6-7 hrs before the water level goes down. Hence before going to the fort you should be aware of High and low tide times and ensure that you return back before the water level gets rises. In the past People have lost their lives while attempting to come back during high tide. To visit Murud-Janjira Fort you have reached to Rajapuri Jetty and from there you will get ferry boat services to reach Janjira fort in the sea. Boatman will give you the time of 1-2 hrs to see the fort and then he will take back you to Rajapur Jetty. The distance between Rajapur jetty to Janjira Fort is 0.5 km.

Day 01 :  Alibaug-Murud Beach

Alibaug is an ideal getaway for a weekend or a short trip. It is a paradise for beach lovers and those seeking solace away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy the beautiful sea breeze, the mesmerizing sunsets, and the delicious local cuisine. Enjoy a day at the Murud beach, which is located at a distance of 25 km from Alibaug. This beach is popular for its white sand and clear blue waters. On arrival Check in to the Hotel. After a fresh-up day is free to explore Alibaug city and nearby places like Kulaba Fort in the Sea. Aksa beach, Nagaon beach, Sasawane beach, Varsoli beach, Revdanda port & Kihim beach in the evening return back to Alibaug O/N Halt in the Alibaug. 

Day 02: Alibaug -Kashid- Murud Beach

In the morning take breakfast in the hotel and then proceeds to Kashid Beach which is 33km from Alibaug.

With its beautiful architecture and tranquil atmosphere, it's easy to see why the region is a popular tourist destination. Murud-Janjira Fort is situated on an oval-shaped rock off the Arabian Sea coast near the port town of Murud, 165 km (103 mi) south of Mumbai. Janjira is considered one of the strongest marine forts in India. The fort is approached by sailboats from Rajapuri jetty. In the evening return back to Mumbai/Pune.
